The American Communities Project is a reporting/research effort that uses data and on-the-ground reporting to explore the socioeconomic and cultural fault lines that define communities at the county level and to examine what unites them in an era of great technological and political change. Based at Michigan State University's School of Journalism, the ACP offers a way to make sense of an increasingly complicated U.S. landscape.
